Flowerpot Island

Flowerpot Island is located 6.5 kilometers northwest of Tobermory and is the destination of our drop-off tours. Flowepot Island is well worth a visit if time allows, two hours is sufficient for a quick walk around the Island, but three to four hours is required if you want to see it all. Flowerpot Island is part of Fathom Five National Marine Park, and is famous for the two rock pillars or sea stacks on its eastern shoreline. There are 4.3 kilometers of well marked trails on Flowerpot Island that cover the east side of this 200 hectare Island and limited dockage at Beachy Cove for shallow draft vessels. If you would like to stay overnight on Flowerpot Island there are six campsites, or "Friends of Fathom Five" volunteers can stay at one of the old light keepers residences.
